I can't seem to link a photo to any particular famliy tree member. I have photos of that relative that I want to appear when one opens the detailed profile.

it has to do with editing the photo and adding notes.

each profile has two albums attached to it. The first album is owned by the profile itself. You cannot add photos to an album owned by another profile. The second virtual album are the group of photos you or anyone else tag to that person. You do this last I remember by the previous sentence.

regarding the help in German, i sometimes use google translate to help. However, usually the trial and error method helps me best.

Doug

How do you tag a photo to a person? I don't see any way to do that...

When adding a photo, we see...

Add descriptions to photos
- You can link persons to your photos. This way, the photo shows up in their profiles and is easier to find.
- You can also give each photo a short title.

But there no way to link it - or is there????

it has been a while and some of the menu's have changed. Here goes:

Make sure we are talking about photos and not portraits.

Click (My Family) (photos). After you add a photo, click on the photo. Click (edit) (add notes)

Now you know everything I know

good luck

That adds notes, but doesn't "link" to a particular relative.

I'm asking because I have a few photos of a relative - and I want them to appear whenever their profile is opened.

glad you got to it.

you seem pretty resistant to just typing the name of the relative and then choosing the correct person. Then you add notes to the bottom.

I did exactly that... and when I go to his profile, it says:

This person is not linked on any photo

Okay!!!! I did it!!!

I have to type his name very slowly and then I get a choice...

Guess I was just typing too fast.

It all is working fine now.

Thanks! :D
