Last week’s poll showed that genealogy is not (yet ) a daily work for about 35% of you. However, almost 30% spend up to 30 mins every day on genealogical research. This week, we’d like to know what aspect of genealogy is the most interesting for you. Is it your name, your living relatives or your ancestors?

Recipe: French crêpes

Here comes the latest international recipe: French crêpes! Simple and delicious, can be combined with various ingredients such as fruits or sauces. The recipe was sent in by Jean-François (34) from Paris, thank you Jean-François!

1-1/2 cups flour
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, melted

1. Mix the flour and the eggs in a large bowl. Add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add salt and butter; keep beating until very smooth.
2. Heat an oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crêpe. Try to tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
3. Cook the crêpe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Enjoy!

Pollday again! Last week’s poll was about genealogical societies. We were quite surprised by the fact that about 24% of our voters are members and another 36% are currently planning to become one.

This week, where you got your cooking skills from. Is it your Grandma or the latest cooking show on TV? Family traditions manifest in several ways. Some are lost in time and others are grown for generations and centuries. One of the most popular transmissions of traditions is a recipe from Grandma. dynastree wants to know: You have these recipes stored somewhere and pass them on in the family?
